In light of the recent events in the United States and the killing of yet another Black person at the hands of the police, the CMS acknowledges that these incidents are not isolated to the United States, and that Canada too has a long way to go to achieve racial equality. In these difficult moments, the Society stands in solidarity with our Black members and Black students all over Canada and denounces anti-Black racism, violence and injustice.
Up to five scholarships, each valued at a maximum of $15,000, will be awarded annually to students entering into the Master of Mathematics for Teachers (MMT) program at the University of Waterloo.
