The Canadian Mathematical Society is an active publisher of three scientific research journals. They are overseen by Editors-in-Chief specific to each journal, but with a large shared set of Associate Editors engaged in Peer Review.
Cambridge University Press publishes and manages subscriptions and access to these journals on behalf of the CMS.
Canadian Journal of Mathematics
CJM
The Canadian Journal of Mathematics (CJM) publishes original, high-quality research papers in all branches of mathematics. The Journal is a flagship publication of the CMS and has been published continuously since 1949.
New research papers are published continuously online and collated into issues six times each year.
The Journal uses a hybrid publication model of traditional subscriber-access as well as an Open Access option.
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin
CMB
The Canadian Mathematical Bulletin was established in 1958 to publish original, high-quality research papers in all branches of mathematics and to accommodate the growing demand for shorter research papers.
New research papers are published continuously online and collated into issues four times each year.
The Bulletin uses a hybrid publication model of traditional subscriber-access as well as an Open Access option.
Canadian Mathematical Communications
CMC
Canadian Mathematical Communications is an open-access venue for high-impact papers in all areas of pure and applied mathematics. Deep theories and foundational developments often require more space to develop in full, and while these can be the most important works in a field, authors have a limited number of venues available for publication. CMC will accept high-quality papers in the 40+ page-range.
Communications is an Open Access journal with the same full peer review process of the other two journals.
Members of the CMS: Please use the Members’ Portal for your complimentary access to the CMB and CJM on Cambridge Core. (Choose Member online access to CJM/CMB under CMS Services).
