The Department of Mathematics invites applications for three full-time probationary appointments at the rank of Instructor 1, commencing July 1, 2022, or on a date mutually agreed upon. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Department seeks an emerging scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and pedagogical development, including experience teaching in a diverse learning environment. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field.

Duties will comprise of undergraduate teaching, including live lecture, on-line and distance delivery formats, pedagogical/course development and assessment, and service-related activities. The successful candidate will have a track record of outstanding teaching contributions and course development; and will exhibit evidence of the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

The Department currently has twenty-three full time tenured and tenure-track faculty members and nine Instructors, and offers a full range of both undergraduate and graduate programs in Mathematics. In 2021, the Department of Mathematics made it into the top 10 among Canadian mathematics programs, according to MacLean’s Magazine.
