Tenure-track position in Number Theory

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the field of Number Theory (or closely related fields such as Algebraic Geometry and Representation Theory) with a target start date of August 1, 2024. Ideal candidates will have interests that complement and enhance McGill’s current research strengths in algebra & number theory, especially in the areas of arithmetic geometry and automorphic representations.

Qualifications: Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in Mathematics or a related field at the date of appointment and must demonstrate outstanding records or potential in research, teaching, and mentorship.

Salary: Salary will be negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Required Documentation: A cover letter, a curriculum vitae (including a list of publications), a research outline, a teaching statement which includes an account of teaching experience, and at least four letters of references, one of which specifically addresses the teaching record.
