The School of Mathematics at Monash University invites applications for the positions of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor. There are currently 5 positions available. 

The School of Mathematics is a research leader with a strong international reputation and is one of the largest of the five Schools in the Faculty of Science.  The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching of general undergraduate mathematics units as well as specialist topics where relevant and conduct cutting edge mathematical research within a range of Mathematical areas.  

Candidates will be expected to have an outstanding research record and help our drive for excellence in teaching and research across the School. Exceptional candidates in any area of mathematics will be considered, but areas that are of specific interest include combinatorics, topology, optimisation, numerical analysis, machine learning, mathematical physics, and statistical learning. Of particular interest are candidates with connections to AI and Data Science, an area that the School is actively looking to grow.  

To be considered you will have a PhD in mathematics or a related area, proven ability to perform independent research, strong evidence of effective teaching and the supervision of research students.
