The successful candidate will be expected to initiate an independent research program, secure external funding to support their research (such as an NSERC Discovery Grant), and recruit and supervise both graduate students and undergraduate honours students.
Teaching: The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and be able to teach both core mathematics courses in our undergraduate programs and graduate-level classes in their research areas.
Service: The candidate must have a commitment to academic service, both within the Department and University, and within their broader research community. The successful candidate will have demonstrated collegiality and commitment to academic service through committee work, peer review activities, and support of other academic activities (such as conference or workshop organization, or conducting seminars).
