Applications are invited for a part-time (.5 FTE), tenure-track appointment as an Academic Skills Specialist in the Academic Skills Centre (Mathematics) of Student Services.
The Academic Skills Centre offers one-to-one and small group instruction designed to help students understand and use mathematics. The duties of the Academic Skills Specialist will include assessing the needs of students and groups of students, developing, implementing and executing programs and services to meet these needs, and training and supervising Group and Peer Tutors. The Academic Skills Specialist will
participate in the general initiatives of Student Services and collaborate with faculty in the development of targeted workshops.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in mathematics or statistics and demonstrate experience and expertise in assisting students to master concepts of statistics, algebra and calculus and their application across disciplines. Relevant training experience will be considered an asset
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
