Dr. Joseph Khoury named recipient of the 2017 Graham Wright Distinguished Service Award (Oct 12)
OTTAWA – The Canadian Mathematical Society is pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Khoury (Ottawa) is named the 2017 recipient of the Graham Wright Award for Distinguished Service. Dr. Khoury will be presented the award at the CMS Winter meeting in Waterloo, December 8-11, 2017.

Math Team Canada 2017 wins Olympiad gold, silver and bronze (Jul 26)

Math Team Canada 2017 returns from the 58th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with five medals and one honourable mention. Team leader James Rickards says the 2017 IMO was the “the most difficult IMO yet; only 7 out of more than 600 students obtained marks on problem #3.”
