Licence to Publish in CMB

Thank you for submitting your paper for publication in the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin.  Now that your paper has completed the review process and is Accepted for publication, we need your formal permission to publish it using our Licence to Publish (LTP) form.

Instructions:

  1. Download: Choose the appropriate empty PDF form to download from the options below.
  2. Complete: After reading it, either:
    1. Print it, fill it in and sign it, then scan the completed document into a new PDF file, or
    2. Fill it in digitally as a Form-enabled PDF, then save as a new PDF with your data.
  3. Upload with Sources: Log into EditFlow and go to Upload Sources for your paper.
Attach your source files (LaTeX) as well as your completed LTP form (in PDF format).

Choosing Which Form to Use:

There are two major considerations:

Do you want the published paper to be freely available to the public?

We call this Gold Open Access, so choose one of the Gold Licences. Many academic institutions in Canada and abroad already have agreements in place to fully waive or partially waive the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC).  To determine if your paper qualifies for such a waiver or discount, visit this page at Cambrige University Press (CUP). Even if your paper does not qualify, you can choose Gold Open Access and CUP can invoice you directly for the APC.

The alternative to the Gold Open Access is Subscriber-Only Access, which is the traditional academic publishing standard.  Select one of the Subscriber Access Licences for this.

Who currently owns the copyright?

The Signing Scenario required depends on who currently owns the copyright to your paper.  Typically the owner is either one or more individuals, employers, or governments.

Gold Open Access Licences

Choose one of these licences to ensure anyone can access your article without subscription or payment.

An invoice for the one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) will be issued to the author(s) unless your paper qualifies for a waiver or discount (see above).  The current APC for the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin is identified on this page.
