Opportunity
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Arts and Science at MacEwan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Applied Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2025, subject to final budgetary approval.
You will engage in research that complements existing strengths in the Department. You must hold a Ph.D. (or evidence of near completion) in Mathematics and demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching, student mentorship, and the development of an ongoing research program in Applied Mathematics involving undergraduate students. You will teach a variety of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in mathematics. Experience with Data Science will be considered an asset.
You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, and sample of scholarly work.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Department Chair to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees.
Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
