Call for Nominations: 2017 CMS Excellence in Teaching Award

OTTAWA — The CMS Excellence in Teaching Award Selection Committee invites nominations for the 2017 Excellence in Teaching Award.

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes sustained and distinguished contributions in teaching at the post-secondary undergraduate level at a Canadian institution. The award focuses on the recipient's proven excellence as a teacher at the undergraduate level as exemplified by unusual effectiveness in the classroom and/or commitment and dedication to teaching and to students.

Nomination letters, including at least three letters of reference, should list the chosen referees and include a recent curriculum vitae for the nominee, if available.

Nominations and reference letters should be submitted electronically, preferably in PDF format, to: etaward@cms.math.ca no later than the deadline of November 30, 2016.

About the Excellence in Teaching Award

The Excellence in Teaching Award nationally recognizes sustained and distinguished contributions in mathematics education at the post-secondary undergraduate level at a Canadian institution. The award was established in 2004 to recognize teaching excellence as exemplified by effectiveness in the classroom and/or commitment and dedication to teaching students.
