About the Opportunity

Bluberi has an excellent opportunity for innovative Mathematician Designers and Senior Mathematician Designers to join our team in Drummondville, QC. There is also an option for the right candidate to work remotely if desired.

As a Mathematician Designer, you will be responsible for developing new mathematic models and adapting them for different markets of operations while maintaining the same game feel experience.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing math model that will create the game experience aligned with Game Design
  • Calculating the probabilities of the winning events
  • Developing bonus algorithms for accurate math and behaviour – create file for game software implementation
  • Demonstrating the expected game experience using some mathematics/analytics tools
  • Providing accurate calculation of Excel files and algorithms/formulae to support math model
  • Simulating and validating the calculation using the internal tools
  • Replicating the Class III math model in the Class II solutions
  • Identifying technical issues/challenges and communicating them to a direct manager with a potential solution
  • Collaborating with other departments on ongoing development when needed
  • Producing detailed statistic report on each mathematic model developed

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics (Major/Minor in Statistics is preferred) combined with a minimum of 2 years of experience with developing math models for casino games, Microsoft Excel and programming math simulators with C++ or C# language.

As a Senior Mathematician Designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative game mechanics and developing math models for Base, Mid-Premium and Premium contents that will provide successful play experience.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Class III math models that will create the game experience aligned with Game Design
  • Developing bonus algorithms for accurate math and behaviour – create file for game software implementation
  • Demonstrating the expected game experience using some mathematics/analytics tools
  • Providing accurate calculation of Excel files and algorithms/formulae to support math model
  • Writing, modifying and testing code for math simulations
  • Actively collaborating in Game Design Jam Sessions
  • Proposing and developing new game mechanics and variants
  • Developing a library of custom software/tools supporting new game mechanics
  • Knowledge transfer to team members and mentoring when required
  • Identify technical issues/challenges and communicating them to a direct manager with potential solutions
  • Collaborating with other departments on ongoing development when needed
  • Maintaining open communication with manager and team members regarding project development progress
  • Producing detailed statistic reports on each mathematic model developed

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics (Major/Minor in Statistics is preferred) combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience with developing math models for casino games, developing new game mechanics for casino games and programming math simulators with C++ or C# language.
