Position: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position (R1029) in Discrete and Combinatorial Optimization. The Department welcomes applications at the Assistant Professor level, but more senior applicants will be considered. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in a research domain of discrete and combinatorial optimization, for example polyhedral combinatorics, algorithmic methods, or the theory of integer programming. The department especially welcomes applicants with an expertise in applications in operations research and computer science.
Selection Criteria: Candidates should have a doctoral degree at the date of appointment and must have demonstrated the capacity for independent research of excellent quality. Selection criteria include research and teaching accomplishments, the potential for contribution to the Department's training programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels and contributions to the scholarly community in general.
