The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in Mathematics. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2018.
It is required that candidates work in the area of Differential Geometry. The successful candidate will also be a member of the tri-campus graduate Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter, and demonstrate an emerging record of excellence in research and teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to mount innovative research at the highest international level and establish an outstanding, externally funded research program. Excellence in research will be demonstrated by a record of sustained contributions and publications in top ranked mathematics journals, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades, and strong endorsements by referees of top international stature.
Evidence for excellence in teaching must be provided through teaching accomplishments, strong letters of reference, and the teaching statement submitted as part of the application.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
