The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a Tenure-Track (Probationary) position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Statistics. The appointment will commence July 1, 2018, subject to budgetary approval.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics. The areas of research are open. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offers a B.Sc. in Applied Statistics, and is considering offering a degree in Statistics. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research and teach courses, and to assist with the growth of the Statistics program and the development of a consulting centre. The Department and University are student-focused, comprehensive (research intensive, with undergraduate and graduate student programming), and grounded in liberal education.
