TENURE TRACK INSTRUCTORS of MATHEMATICS and/or STATISTICS
The University of Calgary invites applications for three tenure track positions at the Instructor level in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, preferably beginning September 1, 2013 with a possible January 1, 2014 start. The Department is seeking outstanding candidates with a passion for teaching and teaching innovations.
Duties include teaching at the undergraduate level in mathematics and/or statistics, including both junior and senior undergraduate courses, ranging from large service courses in the first year to 3rd and 4th year courses taken by our program majors. Participation in curriculum development and administrative duties, and active support for our undergraduate program including mentoring and inspiring students in the subject material is expected.
Qualifications include: a PhD in Mathematics and/or Statistics or a closely related field; a demonstrated passion for teaching and innovation at the university level; facility with the use of technology in classroom instruction.
