Mathematics Outreach: Getting Mathematicians Involved  [PDF]

In this lecture I will describe some of the many mathematics outreach activities organized by the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences and the UBC Mathematics Department. In particular the lecture will focus on activities in British Columbia meant to enhance the mathematical opportunities for Aboriginal/First Nations teachers and students and the many challenges we face. This represents efforts by many dedicated educators and mathematical scientists in Western Canada.
