Frédéric Gourdeau to receive CMS 2014 Adrien Pouliot Award (Aug 19)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce that Professor Frédéric Gourdeau of Université Laval is the recipient of the 2014 Adrien Pouliot Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to mathematics education in Canada. The award will be presented at the 2014 CMS Winter Meeting in Hamilton.
2014 Fields Medal Recipients Hold Strong Ties to Canadian Mathematical Community (Aug 19)
Four mathematicians were recognized for mathematical excellence on August 13 at the opening ceremony of the International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM), where they were each presented with the prestigious Fields Medal.

Math Team Canada 2014 Wins Olympiad Gold, Silver and Bronze (Jul 15)
Math Team Canada returned home today after their 9th place success at the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Each of the six Canadian high school contestants earned a medal for Canada while competing against over a hundred countries at the world championship mathematics competition for high school students.
Xiangwen Zhang to receive CMS 2014 Doctoral Prize (Jul 4)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce Xiangwen Zhang as the recipient of the 2014 Doctoral Prize. Zhang will receive his award and present a lecture at the 2014 CMS Winter Meeting in Hamilton.
Math Team Canada 2014 Chosen for International Mathematical Olympiad (Jun 11)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce the selection of Math Team Canada 2014 – a team of top Canadian high school students. Six members of the team will travel to Cape Town, South Africa to compete in the 55th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) from July 3-13.

The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce that Kenneth R. Davidson from the University of Waterloo is the recipient of the 2014 CMS David Borwein Distinguished Career Awardin recognition of his exceptional, broad, and continued contributions to mathematics. Davidson will receive his award at an upcoming CMS meeting.
Gail Wolkowicz to Receive 2014 CMS Krieger-Nelson Prize (Mar 26)
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Gail Wolkowicz (McMaster University) is the recipient of the 2014 Krieger-Nelson Prize. Wolkowicz will receive the prize in June at the Society’s Summer Meeting in Winnipeg.
Askold Khovanskii to Receive CMS 2014 Jeffery-Williams Prize for Research Excellence (Mar 26)
