NSERC NSERC Long Range Strategy Plan
Saturday, December 4, 12:30 - 2:00 pm, Nelson Room

The Canadian mathematics and statistics communities are engaged in a long range planning (LRP) exercise for 2012-2017/22. This exercise is funded by NSERC, and draws on the expertise of the societies, institutes and the communities of researchers in mathematics and statistics. The website serves as the primary repository for information about the development of the plan. Members of the steering committee will briefly present a summary of the progress to date, and then invite feedback from the audience. The format of the session will be a short presentation followed by questions and answers. (light lunch provided)

CMS Town Hall Meeting
Sunday, December 5, 12:30 - 2:00 pm, Nelson Room

The CMS Executive is inviting all CMS members and meeting participants to join them at an informal luncheon to learn what CMS has planned for 2012 and to discuss any interests or concerns that members of our community may have. Unlike the AGM that focuses on what was achieved last year, this meeting focuses on what lies ahead. There will be a short presentation followed by questions and answers. This is an opportunity for participants to get together with the CMS Executive and discuss emerging issues as well as directly voice their opinions, concerns and interests.

NSERC Research Funding Focus Panel
