Mathematical Education: Now I See !!!! Dynamic Visualisations in Canadian Mathematics Education
(Org: Thomas Steinke, OCCDSB)

This session will explore experiences at the secondary-university interface of mathematics education. Increasingly, students are experiencing inquiry and technology-rich learning and assessment in secondary mathematics classrooms. Inquiry and technology have become important themes in secondary math curricula across Canada, as they are central themes in the practice of mathematics. - How do university programs respond to these themes? - How do they respond to these students with their new strengths and weaknesses? - How do secondary and post secondary math educators view each other, themselves, and their students, in light of these experiences? This session is designed to promote a dialog on these critical issues.
