Tenure-Track Faculty Position

Lakehead University, Thunder Bay campus, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Applied Mathematics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The position will commence August 1, 2017 at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Preferred candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in Mathematics by the time of the appointment. The successful candidate will provide evidence of a clearly defined research program leading to publications and potential research funding. Preference would be given to applicants with research interest in Partial Differential Equations, who apply mathematics to problems in science, engineering, or other related fields. The successful candidate will have a strong background and interest in teaching a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate level math courses. They will also be required to participate in the administrative work of the Department and University, in activities such as outreach and recruitment, serving on administrative and student committees, curriculum development, and liaising with other academic departments.
