For more information about the University, please see www.uwaterloo.ca.

Established in 1967, the Faculty of Mathematics has grown to become a thriving centre for research and teaching in mathematical and computer sciences, and is home to the largest concentration of mathematical and computer science talent in the world. The Faculty offers bachelor's, master's, and PhD degrees within its four departments (applied mathematics, combinatorics and optimization, pure mathematics, and statistics and actuarial science) and one school (the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science). With more than 7,000 graduate and undergraduate students who are some of the world's brightest, 200 faculty members, 120 support staff, and 500 courses in mathematics, statistics and computer science, the Faculty is a true powerhouse of discovery and innovation.
