The department invites applications for a four year Limited Term Faculty (LTF) position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level to commence on August 1, 2013. One of the primary responsibilities of the successful applicant will be to coordinate and teach the Engineering Mathematics courses in first year at Ryerson. The appointment will consist of only teaching and service duties. The successful applicant's service duties will focus on reviewing student use of technology and student assessment practices, and in addition, development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based approaches to enhanced mathematical education, particularly in relation to Engineering Mathematics courses and labs and, by extension, all Mathematics offerings. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics and teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Applicants with experience lecturing and coordinating large, multi-section courses will be given preference.
