The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a three year term position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Mathematics, to begin July 1, 2012, subject to budgetary approval. Subject to budgetary circumstances and program demands, an opportunity may exist for conversion to a tenure-track (probationary) position.
A Ph.D. in mathematics is required. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue a productive research program and to teach courses. The typical teaching load is four courses per year. Supervision of graduate students at both the Masters and Ph.D. level is possible.
New Faculty are eligible to apply for university funding in support of research and scholarly activities.
The position is open to all qualified applicants, although preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
